Unfortunately, for whatever reason, it seems like Bridge refuses to execute any system commands in the app.system() function. This looks very promising thanks for taking the time to figure it out! Var cmd = "\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Adobe\\Adobe DNG Converter.exe\"" + " -c "

Samyang 14/2.8 | Nikon 18-35G, 24-85G VR, 70-200/4G VRĬ2DNG= new MenuElement("command", "Convert to DNG", "at the end of Thumbnail") (Even more "amusing" that Bridge won't even display previews for 6D RAW files, when freaking IrfanView is able to do so).
Adobe bridge cs6 cr2 thumbnails update#
I understand not allowing CS5.5 users to get ACR 7 and the associated 2012 process, but no minor update for ACR6.7 to read in what's just a glorified TIF file? Unreal. It really is unconscionable that users of software only 1-2 years old aren't given compatibility with new bodies, when the required code would be trivial to write. As a poor grad student, I absolutely refuse to consider paying for CS6 when CS5.5 meets all my needs. Has anyone been able to set up some sort of process in Bridge whereby the DNG converter is called for individual file(s) that you select, and the resulting output opened in ACR? My hunch is this is wishful thinking, since the entire purpose of cutting off support for new bodies is inconvenience and forcing you to upgrade for that reason alone. However, I see it can also be run from the command-line in Windows. The UI for the Adobe DNG Converter software seems intentionally crippled and inconvenient, forcing you to select one folder at a time and not allowing individual file selection. Obviously, if I go through with the purchase, I'll have to start converting to. Unfortunately, ACR is capped at version 6.7, which does not natively support RAW files from the 6D. I'm on the verge of upgrading to a 6D, and currently own CS5.5 Premium.
